Description

BRUSH
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention refers to a brush of the type that comprises a supporting member consisting of a first and a second surface, said first surface being arranged as a bristle carrying surface provided with a number of bristles and said second surface being provided with attachment members, which allow the brush to be fastened firmly but detachably to a surface.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The main objective of the present invention is to provide a brush, which gives for example disabled, older persons etc., a possibility to carry out, for instance cleaning of body parts preferably without additional aid from other persons.
Another objective of the invention is to provide a brush attachable to a surface, which has a number of bristle sections, which easily and with less effort allows reaching to different parts of the body.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a brush which allows massage of parts of the body of the user.
These objectives are accomplished by means of a brush described in the beginning, in which said bristle carrying surface consists of a number of areas with varying bristle formations: a bristle section with essentially varying bristle length, a bristle section with an essentially plane surface and a section with bristles inclined relative to and in direction towards said plane surface section and provided on a part elevated and inclined with respect to said supporting member.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The invention will be described with reference to an embodiment shown on the attached 2 drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 shows schematically an elevated perspective view of a brush, according to the invention, Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the brush according to fig. 1 from below, Fig. 3 is a view from one side of the brush in fig. 1, Fig. 4 shows the brush from one end, and Figs. 5a-5f show different ways of using the brush according to the invention.
DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT
Figs. 1, 2, 3 and 4 show different views of a brush 10, according to the invention. The brush comprises of a supporting part 11, with an upper side 14 including a number of bristle fibres or bristles 12 and a lower side 15 provided with attachment members 13. The brush is essentially L-shaped with a main part 16 and a triangular section 18 connected through a neck 17 to the main part. In one embodiment both the main part and the triangular section 18 are provided with bristles 12. The inner sides of the neck 17 and the triangular section 18 shape a partly circular notch 19, for example for hanging up the brush. The bristles 12 can consist of hair, plastic or the like.
The supporting part 11 is preferably of a rigid material, such as plastic, wood, metal or the like and has an essentially elliptical form. Moreover, the supporting part, at least at the upper side 14, is equipped with holes arranged for receiving bristles 12. In an embodiment also the lower side 15 may be provided with holes too, for receiving the attachment members 13, in form of suction cups. Preferably, the lower side 15 is arranged with recesses (not shown) for receiving a sheeting of suction cups. Obviously, other attachment means, such as velcro closing, double- sided adhesive tape or the like can be used.
The upper side 14 on the main part's one end is additionally arranged with an elevation 20, substantially arch-shaped or inclined surface 21 preferably facing the main part. Also, this part 20 is equipped with bristles 22 essentially perpendicular to the surface 21, which inclines said bristles 22 with respect to the remaining bristles provided essentially perpendicular to the plane surface of the main part. 3
The bristles 12 on the plane surface of the main part are cut in different lengths. In a first section 25 the bristles 12 are cut, for example essentially spherically, conically or the like, with varying bristles' lengths and with a longer center and with decreasing length towards the outer bristles. A second section 23, preferably between the spherical and said inclined parts consists of bristles 12, which have essentially shorter length than the substantially spherical section and the inclined bristles 22. The bristles 12 are preferably plastic or of hair and can have different qualities, such as hardness, colour etc., or a combination of these.
The brush 10 is mainly intended to be used, for example by disabled persons by attaching it to a wall or a table, e.g. by pressing the suction cups onto a plane surface. When the brush is attached to the intended surface, it can be used to brush hands, feet, back or other parts of the body. Obviously, the brush can be used by any person.
The substantially spherical section 25 can be used, for example for massage. The second section can be used, for example for cleaning the flat of the hand or the sole of the foot, and at the same time, the inclined bristles clean side and partly upper part of the hand or foot.
The brush may obviously be made without the section 18. This part can also be used as a smaller brush or be provided with a further smaller, flatter end, e.g. for cleaning finger nails or the like.
The brush can also be provided with support means 26 arranged as nobs on the bottom surface 15, for example to prevent to much bending.
The section 24 between the neck 17 and the main part 16 can be provided with a bristle section or file section, for example for polishing finger nails. This section may also be removed for material saving.
Figs. 5a to 5f show different ways of use of the brush 10. In figs. 5a, 5e and 5f the brush is attached onto, for example a bathroom floor and is used for cleaning or massage of feet.
Specially in fig. 5e the inclined bristles are used to clean side of the foot. According to fig. 5b the brush is attached onto, for example a table's surface to be able to clean the elbow in a easy 4 way. In fig. 5c, the smaller brush section is used for cleaning finger nails. In fig. 5d the brush is attached to a vertical surface, for example a wall for cleaning or massage of the back.
While we have illustrated only one preferred embodiment and described other embodiments according to the invention, it is obvious that several variations and modifications within the scope of the attached claims can occur.
