Abstract

La famille Rho des GTPases est impliquée dans de nombreux processus cellulaires eukaryotes, certaines protéines effectrices étant connues pour se fixer à ces GTPases, afin de provoquer différents effets, ces protéines étant notamment la ROCK-I/p160ROCK, la ROCKII, et la kinectine. La présente invention concerne également une nouvelle région de fixation à Rho à vingt-trois acides aminés, conservée dans un éventail de protéines de fixation à Rho. D'autres protéines, notamment la protéine de levure Skn7, contiennent des régions homologues à cette région conservée et interagissent avec les Rho GTPases. L'invention concerne enfin des analyses permettant d'identifier les molécules qui altèrent la croissance cellulaire, par une modulation de l'interaction Rho GTPase/protéines effectrices.
