Modules are then firmly attached the adjacent module below it via some type of fasteners that connect into the protuberances of the module below it. Screws, clips, rivets, or the fastening devices such as the interlocking "key" 83, provide a rigid connection between modules that can be disassembled. Cap or cover 14 can be attached using screw 85 via screw hole 84.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de signalisation visuelle, pourvu de modules de source lumineuse empilables (10). Chacun de ces modules (10) est 'triliptique', c'est-à-dire de forme généralement triangulaire, les coins du triangle étant néanmoins arrondis. A l'intérieur de ce triangle, un cercle parfait contribue à la dispersion optique de ladite source lumineuse (74). Chacun desdits modules est formé d'une pièce moulée arrière (18, 20) et d'une pièce moulée avant (22). Le module de source lumineuse (10) contient une source lumineuse (26), placé sur une plaque de circuit imprimé (70). Ce module contient également un dispositif électronique qui commande ladite source lumineuse, la faisant clignoter ou l'éclairant en permanence, ou un réflecteur pivotant autour d'une ampoule fixe (74). Un conduit (60), constitué d'une bande de plaque de circuit imprimé pourvue de connecteurs à ses extrémités opposées, s'étend entre les parties supérieure et inférieure de chaque module de la pile. La plaque contenant la source lumineuse est insérée par l'intermédiaire de glissières (76) dans un autre connecteur, fixé audit conduit. Le module de source lumineuse (10) peut être rapidement retiré et interconnecté à une pile par raccordement des parties supérieure et inférieure des pièces moulées arrières des modules adjacent de la pile, grâce à des parties saillantes et à des fentes (36, 38) qui s'emboîtent les unes dans les autres. Un couvercle (14) et un socle (12) peuvent également être raccordés aux modules supérieur et inférieur de la pile, le socle pouvant contenir un avertisseur sonore (82). Le raccordement des différents modules de la pile ne nécessite pas l'utilisation de tiges ou de vis séparées traversant la pile entière.
