Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un système de transmission en mode asynchrone de signaux vocaux, de signaux vidéo, de données et d'images sur des voies déployables en visibilité directe. Ledit système comporte une couche d'adaptation au mode de transfert asynchrone (MTA) et une structure de cellules MTA, qui comportent un codeur et un décodeur à débit multiple et variable. La structure de cellules MTA implique un codage et un décodage séparés des codes d'en-tête et de données utiles, un entrelacement des bits d'en-tête et des bits de données utiles, et une méthode de synchronisation des cellules. Ce système permet d'utiliser une voie déployable en visibilité directe pour des transmissions MTA dans un environnement militaire ou tactique. Ce système permet en outre à une voie MTA civile ou commerciale de fonctionner en association avec une voie MTA militaire ou tactique.
