Lagerung von RollenStorage of rolls
Jedoch steht bei dieser stets der Wunsch nach einer Verlängerung der Lebensdauer im Vordergrund.DE patent application P 196 086 70 has already proposed using a ball bearing with races made of heat-resistant steel and ceramic balls for the storage of deflection rollers in molten metal. In such applications, for example, a tub with molten zinc is provided for the galvanizing of a continuous sheet web. This is diverted via a roller arranged in a hot zinc bath at more than 400 degrees Celsius. It is suspended on a frame and rotatably mounted on the shaft ends via the ball bearings mentioned. The aggressive, molten zinc bath flows around practically the entire bearing, since reliable sealing at this temperature and this medium is not possible. This results in unavoidable wear, particularly on the raceways of the steel races. The use of ceramic materials for the races is usually out of the question, since high costs and, in particular, destruction of the brittle ceramic material, which is at risk of breakage, must be expected. For these reasons, the construction of heat-resistant steel races and ceramic balls is still the optimal solution. However, the desire for an extension of the service life is always in the foreground.
In the embodiment mentioned, this is achieved by races with only radially loaded raceways, which are reduced in the osculation to the balls, and central ceramic balls arranged in the region of the end faces of the roller journals. This greatly reduces the amount of sliding friction that inevitably occurs in ball bearings with tighter osculation. Although this is paid for by the insufficient axial flow at this point, the axial guidance of ceramic balls in the center of the end face of the roller journals is taken over. The low osculation significantly reduces wear in the sliding friction area of the raceway raceway. Furthermore, the ball bearings can compensate for greater axial play without reaching the area of unauthorized axial loads. This is particularly important in the application mentioned with large dimensions and tolerances of the roll. However, the ceramic balls are exposed to sliding friction, even if only slightly, so that there is a desire for further optimization.
The object of the invention is to improve the storage of the type mentioned in such a way that wear is reduced, in particular in the area of the axial support, in the sense of a longer service life.
The object is achieved in that the supporting elements consist of temperature-resistant permanent magnets, one each being arranged on the end face of the roller journal and the other coaxially on the supporting frame and these repel each other in time.
The permanent magnets thus form a contact-free support and are therefore wear-free.
These and other features are described below using the example shown in the drawing.
The single figure shows the bearing of one end of a roller 1 with a ball bearing low osculation. As not shown in detail, the roller 1 is mounted on the same side on both sides and is rotatably arranged above it in a support frame 2. The entire arrangement works in a zinc bath, not shown, with the bearings being washed with liquid zinc.
The ball bearing shown consists of races 3, 4, made of heat-resistant steel and balls 5 made of ceramic. The inner ring 4 seated on the roller journal 6 and secured with a nut 7 is provided with a cylindrical raceway 8. The outer ring 3 sits in the only indicated support frame 2 and has one opposite Ball radius significantly more curved raceway profile 9. This results in a greatly reduced osculation to the ball 5. The ball bearing is therefore not suitable for axial loads. With this construction, the proportion of sliding friction between balls 5 and the raceway 9 of the outer ring 3 is considerably lower, and that on the inner ring 4 is theoretically zero.
The axial support is provided on both sides on each roller pin 6 by a pair of mutually repelling permanent magnets 10. One of them is inserted into a recess 11 on the end face, the other in a corresponding recess 11 on the support frame 2. Between the pole faces 12 left a small gap 13, which allows axial movement of the roller 1. The characteristic of the repulsive force is known to be extremely progressive, so that contact with the pole faces 12 is excluded under normal operating conditions.
