  • support bracket 29 rotates forward in the direction of arrow "c" as in FIG. 4A because intermediate gears 28 receive the rotation force of inner sprocket wheel 24 and race with driven sprocket wheel 21 which stops.
  • support bracket 29 is rotatable by ratchet wheel 33 and ratchet 35 so that the bicycle runs forward.
  • Circular projection 36a of rotatable body 36 engaged with ratchet 35 is located under cam 37 as in FIG. 9A, and, when cam 37 of inner sprocket wheel 24 rotates forward in the direction of arrow "a", the projection is led under cam 37, as shown with the virtual line, not toward passage 37a, because of its curved surface. For this reason, rotatable body 36 is not engaged with ratchet 35.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un appareil d'entraînement vers l'avant d'une bicyclette, cet appareil comprenant un pignon à chaîne qui tourne lors de la réception de la force d'entraînement d'une pédale; un pignon interne couplé de façon séparable à l'axe du moyeu de la roue arrière; un premier dispositif à rotation unidirectionnelle placé entre le pignon à chaîne entraîné et le pignon interne de sorte que sa force de rotation soit transmise au pignon interne uniquement lors de la rotation vers l'avant du pignon entraîné; une pluralité de roues dentées intermédiaires engagées entre le pignon entraîné et le pignon interne de façon à transmettre une force de rotation; une patte de support destinée à fixer rotative la pluralité de roues dentées; un cylindre fixe inséré dans l'axe fixe de la roue arrière; et un second dispositif de rotation unidirectionnel placé entre le cylindre fixe et la patte de support de sorte que, seule, cette dernière tourne vers l'avant. En conséquence, l'appareil permet l'entraînement vers l'avant d'une bicyclette même lors de la rotation contraire de la pédale, ainsi que le déplacement libre de la bicyclette vers l'avant/vers l'arrière.
