Description

Profilrahmen für eine bewegliche Fensterscheibe Profile frame for a movable window pane

The invention relates to a profile frame for a movable window, in particular on a motor vehicle rear door, with individual profile sections made of an elastomeric material, which have different cross sections in some areas, the individual profile sections being integrally connected to one another.

From the applicant's EP 038651 3 B1 a profile frame is known which is extruded in one piece from an elastomeric material and has sealing lips with different cross sections. The profile frame surrounds the window opening on at least three sides.

Closed profile frames are also known, which are constructed from individual profile sections made of elastomeric material, which are integrally connected to one another. For this purpose, the individual profile sections, which may have different cross sections in the longitudinal direction, are placed in a vulcanization mold and connected to one another by injected elastomeric material, which is then vulcanized. This creates visible transitions between the individual profile sections, which impair the aesthetics of the finished profile frame. In addition, the injection of elastomeric material associated with a high manufacturing effort, since this requires labor-intensive plastering work.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to propose a profile frame which has a uniform outside and which can be produced in a simple manner.

To solve this problem it is proposed in a profile frame of the type mentioned that the individual profile sections are connected by a thermoplastic material, that a pane surround is provided for a stationary window pane, which consists entirely of the thermoplastic material and that the profile frame on its entire Has a uniform outer surface, which consists of the thermoplastic material or the elastomeric material.

In the profile frame according to the invention, the individual profile sections made of elastomeric material are thus connected to one another by means of an injected thermoplastic material. In order to achieve a uniform outside and thus an improved aesthetic effect, the outside of the profile frame, which is in the installed state, is either extrusion-coated with the thermoplastic material or a one-piece outer profile made of elastomeric material is used. The positive properties of the two materials are thus also present in the profile frame according to the invention. With regard to the elastomeric material, the good elasticity and deformability should be mentioned, and with the thermoplastic material, the good processability and recyclability. Another advantage of the profile frame according to the invention is that for its manufacture time-consuming plastering work is eliminated. In addition, the profile frame according to the invention has a pane surround for a stationary window pane, which consists entirely of the thermoplastic material.

Advantageous refinements of the invention result from the subclaims.

Vorteilhaft wird als elastomeres Material EPDM und als thermoplastisches Material TPE vorgesehen.EPDM is advantageously provided as the elastomeric material and TPE as the thermoplastic material.

In a further advantageous embodiment, the pane surround is designed as an overmolding fixed to the stationary window pane or for retrofitting the window pane. In the latter variant, the pane surround made of thermoplastic material has a slot-shaped receiving opening for the stationary window pane, to which sealing lips which are integrally formed on the pane surround are assigned.

In some areas, the profile frame can have an outer profile and an inner profile made of elastomeric material, which are connected to one another by profile areas made of the thermoplastic material. As a result, the outer profile is connected to the inner profile in one operation. The outer profile is manufactured as an extrusion profile with a variable cross-section.

In a further embodiment it can be provided that the profile sections have flocking in some areas. According to the invention a method for producing a profile frame according to one of the preceding claims is further proposed, which is characterized in that the individual profile sections made of elastomeric material! be placed in an injection mold at a short distance from one another in such a way that the thermoplastic material can penetrate into the space between the profile sections. The individual profile sections, which later form the entire profile frame, are thus connected to one another at the end face by the injected thermoplastic material.

The stationary window pane can advantageously be inserted into the injection mold and encapsulated with the pane surround made of thermoplastic material.

Hierbei zeigen:The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments which are shown in the drawing in a schematic manner. Here show:

The profile frame 1 0 shown in FIG. 1 is designed for a motor vehicle rear door, not shown, which has a movable window pane 1 3a that can be lowered into a window shaft and a stationary window pane 1 3b. In Figure 1, the movable window is shown in the partially open state. The movable window pane 1 3a is guided laterally by profile sections 1 1 a, 1 1 b, 1 1 c and a separating web 1 4. Here, the profile section 1 1 b seals the window shaft of the motor vehicle rear door. The stationary window pane 1 3 b is provided with a window frame 1 2, which has an approximately C-shaped plan. Furthermore, the stationary window pane 1 3b is bordered by the separating web 1 4.

The profile frame 10 thus essentially consists of individual profile sections 1 1 a, 1 1 b, 1 1 c, each of which consists of EPDM. The individual profile sections 1 1 a, 1 1 b, 1 1 c are connected by thermoplastic polyethylene (TPE). The pane surround 1 2 for the stationary window pane 1 3b is also made of TPE. The sectional representations II-II, III-III and IV-IV shown in FIG. 1 can be seen from FIGS. According to FIG. 1, the profile section 1 1 a, which is extruded from EPDM, has an approximately U-shaped base body 1 9, from which individual sealing lips protrude. On the outside, an outer lip 1 5, which consists of TPE, is sprayed onto the base body 1 9. The outer lip 1 5 can have a variable cross section in the longitudinal direction of the profile section 1 1 a. In order to achieve a good sealing effect with respect to the movable window pane 1 3a (not shown), 9 sealing lips 17, 18, 20 are extruded onto the base body 19 in this area. In the closed state of the movable window pane 1 3a, the large sealing lip 17, the small sealing lip 1 8 and the sealing lip 20 on the end face rest against the movable window pane 1 3a. The sealing lips 1 7, 1 8, 20 are each provided with a flocking area 21, which is assigned to the movable window pane 1 3a.

Hierbei erstreckt sich die Umspritzung 27 bis zum freien Ende der Abstreiferlippe 26.Figure 3 shows the section along the line III-III through the profile section 11b, which seals the window shaft on the outside. The profile section 11b has a base body 23 which is extruded from EPDM and has an approximately U-shaped cross section. In the interior of the main body 23 ¬ a reinforcing insert 24 is provided from aluminum. In the area of a frame receptacle, obliquely protruding locking lips 25a, 25b are extruded onto the base body 23. A wiper lip 26, which also consists of EPDM, protrudes obliquely from the top of the base body 23. In the area of the movable window pane 1 3a, not shown, the wiper lip 26 is provided with a flocking area 21. On the outside, an encapsulation 27 made of TPE is applied to both the base body 23 and the wiper lip 26. The extrusion coating 27 extends to the free end of the wiper lip 26.

In den Figuren 4a und 4b sind zwei unterschiedliche Varianten der Scheibeneinfassung 1 2, die die stationäre Fensterscheibe 1 3b umgibt, dargestellt.4a and 4b show two different variants of the pane surround 1 2 which surrounds the stationary window pane 1 3b.

In the embodiment variant according to FIG. 4a, the stationary window pane 1 3b is retrofitted. For this purpose, the pane surround 1 2, which consists of TPE, has a slot-shaped receiving opening 28 for the edge region of the stationary window pane 1 3b. In order to seal the stationary window pane 1 3b, elastic sealing lips 29, 30 projecting from the pane surround 1 2 are provided. Here, the inner sealing lip 29 bears on the inside and the outer sealing lip 30 bears on the outside of the stationary window pane 13b. On the outside, the pane surround 1 2 has an integrated edge collar 31.

In the embodiment variant according to FIG. 4b, the stationary window pane 1 3b is extrusion-coated and fixed by the pane surround 1 2. Accordingly, sealing lip lips 29, 30 can be omitted.

To produce the first embodiment of the invention, in which the profile frame has a TPE extrusion coating on the outside, the individual profile sections 1 1 a, 1 1 b, 1 1 c, which are each made of EPDM, are inserted into an injection mold into which subsequently TPE is injected. The individual profile sections 1 1 a, 1 1 b, 1 1 c arranged at a distance from each other so that the TPE can flow into the resulting gaps. When the TPE is injected into the injection mold, the TPE continues to reach the area of the pane surround 1 2, which is made entirely of TPE. Furthermore, the outside of the profile frame 10 is provided with a TPE extrusion coating.

In this way, a profile frame 10 is obtained which has a uniform outer side around the entire circumference. The connection of the individual profile sections 1 1 a, 1 1 b, 1 1 c with the injected TPE eliminates complex plastering work. At the same time, the pane surround 1 2 for the stationary window pane 1 3b is formed by the injected TPE.

Figures 5 to 7 relate to a further embodiment, in which the outside of the profile frame is formed from EPDM. For the description of FIGS. 5 to 7, the reference symbols already introduced are used for identical or functionally identical parts.

Accordingly, the profile section 1 1 a in this embodiment variant has a base body 1 9, which is extruded from EPDM and is provided with protruding sealing lips 1 6, 1 7, 20.

On the outside, the profile section 1 1 a is provided with an outer lip 1 5 made of EPDM. The outer lip 1 5 is part of a one-piece outer ¬ profile made of EPDM, which over the profile sections 1 1 a, 1 2 and 1 1 b extends. The desired cross-sections are variably extruded.

The outer lip 15 is connected to the base body 19 via a connection area 32 made of TPE. The connection area 32 is produced by injecting TPE into the injection mold.

Figure 6 shows in a similar representation as Figure 3, the section along the line III-III in the second embodiment. The base body 23, which has an approximately U-shaped cross section, is made of EPDM. The base body 23 is connected to the outer profile 34 made of EPDM via a connection area 33 made of TPE. The outer profile 34 can have a variable cross section in the longitudinal direction of the profile section 11b. In the area of the movable window pane 1 3a, not shown, the outer profile 34 is provided with a flocking area 21.

Somit entspricht Figur 7 den Figuren 4a, 4b der ersten Ausführungsvariante.FIG. 7 shows the configuration of the second embodiment variant in the region of the pane surround 1 2. Thus, FIG. 7 corresponds to FIGS. 4a, 4b of the first embodiment variant.

As can be seen from FIG. 7, the pane surround 1 2, which has a receptacle 28 for the subsequent assembly of the stationary window pane 1 3b, essentially consists of TPE. An outer profile 35 made of EPDM is provided on the outside and extends over the entire circumference of the pane surround 12.

To produce the second embodiment variant of the profile frame 10, in which the outside is covered with EPDM over the entire circumference the corresponding EPDM profile sections are inserted into the injection mold, into which TPE is then injected. To form the uniform outside, the one-piece EPDM outer profile with variable cross-section is inserted into the injection mold. The individual EPDM profile sections are bonded together by the injected TPE. At the same time, the window frame 1 2 is produced.

In this variant, too, a profile frame 1 0 is thus created, which has a uniform outside. Furthermore, the production is particularly simple since complex plastering work can be omitted.

In principle, such a profile frame can be used not only in the area of a vehicle rear door but also in other applications.
