  • Said calculation function is activated by the clinician by means of a pedal (10) operated with the foot, however, at all times disposing, on the screen (9), the image of capture of the probe.
  • the software also indicates on the screen (9) the plaque index of the patient.
  • Said data is calculated by means of an algorithm that allows to identify in the image each one of the structures present, that is, the part of the tooth captured, the part of the gum captured, and the part of the plate present in the tooth.
  • Said plate is identified by the color change detection that said plate presents.
  • the software deducts the value of the plate index. This function is activated by the system user through menu commands present in the software.
  • the software is able to measure the level of bleeding. Said value is calculated by means of an algorithm that allows identifying in the image each one of the structures present, that is, the part of the tooth captured, the part of the gum captured, and the area of bleeding of the patient. By recognizing the area of bleeding, the software deducts the value of that area. This function is activated by the system user through menu commands present in the software.

Abstract

En partant d'une sonde calibrée de mesure (4) existant sur le marché, l'invention concerne l'utilisation d'une chambre optique intraorale (1) fixée à un support (5) qui la place à une distance appropriée par rapport à la sonde calibrée proprement dite (4), ladite caméra (1) étant assistée par une lentille (3) qui, à son tour, assure une parfaite focalisation de la zone de travail de la sonde calibrée (4) à l'intérieur de la poche périodontale (6) du patient. La caméra (1) renvoie des images à un ordinateur (8) qui les traite de manière appropriée pour fournir des informations, à travers l'écran (9), relatives aux niveaux d'insertion périodontale et périimplantaire, de plaques bactériennes et de saignements après sondage, information présentant un intérêt pour l'étude du niveau de santé gingivale.
