Abstract

The invention relates to a threaded fire weapon, and especially to barrels for shooting bullets or projectiles provided with an obturation belt. The inventive barrel enables the initial speed of the bullet or projectile to be increased and, consequently, the distance covered by and the flight of the bullet or projectile to be extended, the influence of the barrel heat on the shot quality, the recoil stroke, the noise and the flash at the starting shot and the barrel wear (erosion) to be reduced. The inventive barrel can be used in virtually all known fire weapon systems with interchangeable barrel. Its use improves the shot quality with no increase of the weapon mass and size. Barrels having a flat portion with varying shrinking limits can be used to develop multicaliber systems for one single type of ammunition, thereby extending significantly the tactical and technical features of the weapon as well as its application range. The fire weapon barrel has a threaded portion (1), a flat portion (2) and a chamber (3).
