Definitions

  • the flour sifters are used for sorting out the goods of different types and features within the cereal (cereal,r ⁇ ce,corn etc ) ground in the flour plants
  • sifting frames consist a sifting passage by being put on each other They are connected to each other on a chasis (such as 2-4-6-8- 10) The whole chasis is propped to the suspender from the suspender centers through fiber bar, steel rope etc and suspended by means of a flywheel with additional balance- weight
  • the ground product to be sifted coming from above to the sifter is sifted by means of the hanging sifting screens (Fig 1)
  • Fig 1 In order to determine the micron opening of these sifting screens, positions, the flow passages of the products sifted and to be sifted, various plans called diagrams can be prepared
  • the capacity of the sifting passage can be increased by using more sifting frames ( There's a sample sifting diagram in the fig 1 ).

  • the processed bran taken out of the outlet of the machine is transferred to the sack packing depot,to the bran fining roller or to any point required.through the flow pipe, the pneumatic pipe, worm screw, elevator or other transfer means
  • the product coming out of the bran brusher can be stored in the sack packing unit (M) and, at the same time, put in the sacks without any transmitting units
  • the outlet of the developed bran processing unit consists the starting of the bran depot The bran processing unit and the bran outlet are united
  • the flour plants are usually in multi- storey buildings.
  • the establishment of a plant in a multi-storey building increases the cost of construction and assembly and causes an important amount of time loss As a result, the establishment cost of the plant is increased a lot
  • we studied on the development of the flour plant which cover less space and has a lower cost of establishment by being mounted on a chassis without the requirement of multi-storey building
  • the coupled classification unit that we have developed is the system providing the harmonious combination of the post-grinding process equipment which are the flour sifter.under-sifter collection worm screw, central pneumatic aspirator and the suction set(cyclone, air lock etc ), Filtering unit, bran brusher unit with depot, flour and bran sack packing units etc and their parts (Fig 14) on an assembly chassis without necessitating storeys and mounting works

  • the flour and bran sack packing units with depots are placed in the front part of the chassis with regular intervals on the developed assembly chassis (Fig 14-15)
  • the one-way sifter (Fig 5a- 5b) is suspended behind the sack packing units with depots and in the middle of the assembly chassis (Fig 15 a-16-17)
  • the sifter frames of the one way sifter (E) are taken out and put in between the sack packing units with depots (M-N) at the front
  • Great benefit is provided by the one ⁇ way sifter, being closed in three sides (Fig 15a-15b)
  • Bran brusher (L), pneumatic filter (F) and pneumatic suction pipes (O) are placed to the right, to the left and behind the one-way sifter, respectively
  • the post-grinding process equipment are located on an assembly chassis on a level ground without necessitating a large space and storeys
  • the coupled classification unit can be manufactured for use from the right or the left
  • the product which is ground once between the two cylinders are sifted in its own sifting passages
  • six sifting passages shall be needed
  • the capacity can be increased by increasing the number of grinding and sifting passages In these systems, the product may sometimes be transferred to some sifting passages by being ground twice between four cylinders (Fig 19). Grinding twice or three times between four cylinders were known before
  • the flour and the bran separated by sifting goes down to the collection worm screws (R)
  • the bran collected in the worm screw passes through the bran brush (L) and goes to the sack packing unit with depot
  • These products are sucked by the pneumatic aspirator (P) and are transferred to the machines by cyclones (S) and air locks (T)
  • the products that escape during the suction are transferred to the filter (F) connected to the pneumatic aspirator outlet together with the air
  • the fine products obtained from the filter outlet and the bran brusher outlet are collected and transferred to the second inlet of the second passage
  • the second passage of the sifter is arranged in a way to sift two different products separately
  • the products separated by sifting go down to the flour and bran collecting worm screw
  • the flour groups classified according to their qualities are transferred to the sack packing units by means of the pneumatic unit It is possible to obtain a wider range of flour types by adding sack packing unit to the system. Thus, using two or three grinder rollers the capacity of the flow plant is increased.
