Plastic with at least one integrated cavity, in a mold cavity, the cavity-delimiting wall of the injection mold part being formed directly by the thermoplastic, and the internal gas pressure process being used for the production of the injection mold part.
Furthermore, the invention relates to an injection mold part made of at least one thermoplastic material with at least one integrated cavity and the use of an injection mold part with cavities.
In the so-called internal gas pressure process, pressurized fluid, in particular pressurized gas, is injected into the still molten plastic material in the mold cavity during the injection molding process of plastic moldings. The method is used in particular for door linings, trim parts for the instrument panel, pillar trim parts and center console parts for motor vehicles.
The present invention is based on the problem of finding further advantageous applications for the internal gas pressure process in which the known advantages can be used.
The solution to this problem by the invention is characterized in that for the manufacture of a window frame or sash for a building pressurized fluid is injected into the still molten thermoplastic material so that cavities form in the desired areas.
Dieses Verfahren erweist sich deshalb als besonders vorteilhaft, weil neben den bekannten Vorteilen andere neue hinzukommen: Der Fensterflügel kann bezüglich der Verteilung der Hohlräume so ausgestaltet werden, daß die Hohlstellen zu einem geringeren Massenträgheitsmoment um die Schwenkachse des Flügels führen, das heißt die Drehträgheit des Flügels kann durch Gewichtsersparnis in den Bereichen, die von derThis method proves to be particularly advantageous because, in addition to the known advantages, there are other new ones: The window sash can be designed with respect to the distribution of the cavities so that the cavities lead to a lower mass moment of inertia about the pivot axis of the sash, that is, the inertia of the sash can be reduced by weight in the areas of the
Drehachse weit entfernt sind, gering gehalten werden. Dies ermöglicht eine leichtere Handhabung des Fensters.Axis of rotation are far away, be kept low. This enables easier handling of the window.
Furthermore, it turned out to be advantageous that the incorporation of hollow points in window sashes and frames results in better thermal insulation, which is of great importance in terms of saving heating energy in buildings.
The known advantage of avoiding sink marks on the surface of the molded part also plays a major role in the manufacture of plastic windows, since the demands on the surface quality are very high and are often only achieved by the otherwise usual extrusion of window profiles. In contrast, represents an essential simplification of the production process.
It is advantageously provided that polyvinylchloride (PVC) is used as the thermoplastic material.
Furthermore, it is further developed that insert parts, in particular latch, reinforcement and peripheral parts of the window frame or window sash, are inserted into the tool before the tool is closed, which parts are overmolded during the injection molding process. This leads to a correspondingly simpler and more economical manufacturing process.
In order to produce window frames or sashes largely ready for installation immediately by the injection molding process, it is further provided that in addition to the at least one thermoplastic plastic, at least one lacquer is also injected into the tool, so that the window frame or Window sash is at least partially from the paint jacket by the injection molding process.
Finally, the window pane can also be introduced by the injection molding process itself, which is why it is provided that the window pane of the window is inserted into the tool during the manufacture of a window sash and is encapsulated by the injection molding process.
The window pane can consist of glass or plastic, in particular polycarbonate (PC). It can also have a metal grid.
The injection molding according to the invention made of at least one thermoplastic with at least one integrated cavity, which is produced in the production of the molding by injection of pressurized fluid, is characterized in that the injection molding is a window frame or a window sash for a building that has cavities in the desired areas .
The window sash can advantageously have an overmolded window pane, which can consist of glass or plastic, in particular of polycarbonate (PC); it can have a metal grid.
Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of an injection molding, in particular produced by the described method, with hollow points as window frames or window sashes for a building.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown. The only Fig. 1 shows schematically a window sash in three-dimensional representation.
The window sash 1 is manufactured by injection molding. The plastic used is preferably PVC. While usually only one type of thermoplastic is used, an alternative can be used it is also provided that more than one thermoplastic material, in particular two different thermoplastic (2-component processes), are used. The figure does not go into structural details, for example how the wing 1 must be divided in order to mount the window glass, etc.
During the injection molding process, compressed gas is injected into selected areas of the tool cavity, as a result of which cavities 2 form in the interior of the window sash 1, as can be seen from the schematic sectional illustration. In the case at hand, a gas bubble 2 extends over a certain area of the wing leg 3. However, it can also be provided that the cavity 2 extends over the entire leg area, i.e. extends over all four legs 3, 4, 5 and 6 and results in a closed form. In this case, the cavity extends over the entire course of the legs.
Before the molded part is injected, locking, reinforcing and / or peripheral parts can be inserted into the mold, which are then encapsulated during the injection molding process. This is exemplified in the figure by the hinge elements 7 and 8. These have been inserted into the tool before the spraying and are firmly connected to the window sash 1 by the spraying process.
On the other hand, only recesses can be created during the injection molding process, which enable the later assembly of locking, reinforcement and peripheral parts. This is indicated by the recess 9.
To increase the efficiency of the manufacturing process, it can be provided that the window frame or sash 1 is already painted in the tool. The in-mold paint technology known per se is used for this. With certain types of windows, it can be provided that the window pane is already “assembled” by the injection molding process, in which it is encapsulated with thermoplastic. For this purpose, the window pane is placed in the open injection mold during the manufacture of the window sash. When the tool is closed, the disc is positioned relative to the tool cavity. Through the injection molding process, it is firmly connected to the window sash 1; the window sash is largely removed from the injection mold ready for installation. This method is particularly suitable if a plastic window pane is used; Here polycarbonate (PC), which is characterized by a high breaking strength, is used in particular as the pane material.
The object according to the invention is particularly suitable for the production of standard windows, which can be manufactured very inexpensively in this way. There are special uses for basement windows that can be standardized more easily than normal windows.
