Abstract
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé servant à fabriquer des tuyaux à parois minces ou des produits ayant une section transversale similaire avec une aptitude au formage améliorée à une vitesse élevée sans risque d'endommager ou de déformer les bords des tuyaux ainsi produits. A cet effet, on utilise des unités de laminage à froid ordinaire (B1, B2-B4, CL, FS, SQ) avec lesquelles on combine un transporteur à bande comprenant une bande plate flexible (1). Un matériau brut (10) est placé sur cette bande plate (1) et amené à passer à travers les rouleaux de formage, par lesquels le matériau brut (10) est laminé à froid de façon à être recouvert avec la bande plate (1). Ce procédé permet de réduire le rapport entre l'épaisseur de la paroi et le diamètre externe (t/D X 100) du tuyau jusqu'à moins de 1 % et il permet d'augmenter également l'aptitude au formage et la vitesse sans risque d'endommager ou de déformer les bords des tuyaux.
