Abstract

On peut surveiller différents événements survenant à un véhicule en produisant des sorties électriques représentant de tels événements, en comparant les caractéristiques d'un événement avec celles d'autres événements accumulées pendant une période donnée et en déterminant les écarts d'un certain ordre par rapport aux autres caractéristiques, écarts qui sont l'indication d'un événement significatif, puis en émettant un signal d'avertissement en réponse à l'indication, lequel comprend en particulier la position du véhicule telle que déterminée par un indicateur de position globale. Dans l'une des réalisations, un micro-ordinateur répond aux signaux de sortie d'un accéléromètre placé sur un véhicule rail-route en comparant les caractéristiques d'accélération dues à un impact aux caractéristiques d'accélération accumulées de plusieurs impacts, et calcule les écarts d'un certain ordre par rapport à d'autres caractéristiques, écarts qui sont l'indication d'une anomalie, et émet un signal d'avertissement suite à cette indication. L'un des signaux de l'accéléromètre a trait à la position verticale et sert à tester la suspension. La position du véhicule, saisie régulièrement avec une périodicité inférieure à deux minutes, est transmise avec le signal d'avertissement.
