Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil de filtration destiné à filtrer le métal en fusion. Ce dispositif est constitué d'un corps définissant une cavité de réception du métal en fusion, d'un orifice de sortie pour le métal en fusion provenant du corps, et d'un dispositif de retenue de filtre entre la cavité et l'orifice. La fonction du filtre est de concentrer dans la cavité les inclusions se trouvant dans le métal. Le corps est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un matériau réfractaire fibreux. L'utilisation d'un tel appareil de filtration permet de faire fondre rapidement dans le dispositif un échantillon de métal solide pour constituer un échantillon représentatif du métal liquide qui peut alors être filtré.
