Abstract

The invention relates to a process for careful cleaning and maintenance of wood, (e.g. teak deck slats) with scrubber apparatus, a brush (the scrubber apparatus and brush have textured rubber soles adhered thereto and in the style of boat footwear), or a roller with an interchangeable pimpled rubber surface or oscillating rubbing apparatus with a textured interchangeable rubber surface in the style of boat footwear, without chemical cleansing agents, only with clear water (fresh water or sea water). During this cleaning process, the dirt is removed by rubbing and the surface of the wood is sealed i.e. "water-tight". The uses of said process are as follows: (1) cleaning of all types of wood; (2) cleaning and maintenance of teak deck slats; (3) production of rustic or period furniture - the desired texture is achieved by the rubbing effect; (4) restoration of old and antique furniture with surfaces which have to be cleaned in a gentle manner; (5) ecologically-sound cleaning and maintenance of garden furniture and summerhouses made of wood.

Description

Cleaned the cleaners contain highly corrosive substances that open the tiolzoberfläche "M and injure addition of abrasive scouring effect a normal brush the wood.. is washed out, uneven, thinner and loses its substance. Because the wood is open, new dirt penetrates faster and deeper into the pores. Inevitably the cleaning has to be repeated often. The teak deck becomes more and more unsightly and finally has to be sanded again With a thickness of the teak deck of 10 mm to 12 mm (with plywood teak significantly less mm) this can be done once or at most twice. It is not uncommon for a new teak deck to be relocated, apart from the enormous costs (approx. 40,000 DM for a medium-sized sailboat) the coveted but increasingly popular teak is wasted d on the other hand, the tropical forests are degraded even faster. Chemical cleaning and chemical maintenance are extremely harmful to the environment because the chemical residues are flushed directly into the water (, oceans or lakes). The corrosive substances also attack the fittings and other metal parts of the ship.

The cleaning process I developed serves the natural care of the wood and protects rod teak decks in a special way, JÜS differs significantly from the conventional cleaning methods, as follows: 1. Wet the teak deck well with water (water or seawater) to create the conductivity (approx. One square meter each) •

2. Waββerzufuhr ( Schlauch oder ülmer ) stoppen.2. Stop water supply (hose or older).

Teak deck with short movements in the longitudinal direction of the wood, for example. B. rub off with a scrubbing scrubber. The scratch brush is intended for hard-to-reach places, the scratch roller for heavily soiled surfaces. For an almost effortless cleaning, the vibratory rubbler is provided, which also rubs only in the longest direction of the wood. Repeat cleaning if necessary.

With this type of cleaning, only the dirt is rubbed off. The wooden surface is not damaged and remains closed; it is compressed or "wa8serverβiegeXt n . The natural protective substances are not washed out. A chemical care agent is therefore not necessary. Fittings and other stainless steel parts are not attacked. The environment is protected, in short, it has become possible: cleaning and maintaining teak decks without Chemistry.

The cleaning process ends when the dirt particles are rinsed off with water (fresh or sea water).
