Abstract

The invention relates to a board to be fixed to the stiles of a so called Danish cart, characterised in that is consists of a rectangular sheet of synthetic material which is, at least along part of the large side of the rectangular, reinforced by metal frames, the extremities of which that stick out of the rectangular sheet, have the form of a hook.

Description

"A board to be fixed to the stiles of a so called Danish cart"
This invention relates to a board to be fixed to the stiles of a so called Danish cart.
Boards which can be fixed to Danish carts at an arbitrary level, consist at this moment still of rectangle fibreboards or multiplexboards of which the extremities are equipped with hooks which stick out of the fibreboard and which latch in thereto in the stiles provided holes.
These boards present serious disadvantages which are common to the fibreboard material used. Especially in the stacking, during transport as well as during stocking in the company, difficulties are being met. In that way for example, the lodging of the boards that have been used up to now, is not possible, although this plays a very important role during the stocking and transport. As a consequence of the concept of the Danish cart, before each return to the producer, the boards are removed from the stiles. They are stuck in a truck and sent back to the producer. At the producer's, the components of the Danish cart are mounted again. Al these manipulations and the problems which arise during the transport of the boards, require an improved concept of these boards. Herewith, the apparently never studied aspects, i.e. optimal choice of material, stackability and especially the lodgeability of the boards, and an improved manual manipulation are meant. To remedy the disadvantages of the boards known up to now and generally used, the board according to the invention consists of a rectangular sheet of synthetic material which is, at least along part of the large side of the rectangle reinforced by metal frames, the extremities of which that stick out of the rectangular sheet, have the form of a hook.
Still according to the invention, said metal rod, taken along the length of the rectangular sheet, extends at a distance of a continuous flenge which belongs to said sheet.
A pecularity of the invention consists herein that said sheet is also provided with a flenge along the short sides of the rectangular sheet, so that the, with a tolerance, lodging of the boards becomes possible.
Other details and advantages of the invention will become clear from the following description of a board to be fixed to the stiles of a so called Danish cart, according to the invention. This description is only given as an example and does not limit the invention. The reference numbers relate to the attached figures.
Figur 1 is a top view of the board according to the invention.
Figure 2 is a side view of the long side of the board.
Figure 3 is a side view of the short side of the board. Figure 4 is, at an enlarged scale, a side view of an extremity of the large side of two boards lodged into one another.
Figure 5 is, at an enlarged scale, a side view of an extremity of the small side of two boards that lodge into one another. The board which is shown in these figures, consists in essence of a spouted plastic sheet
1, of which the upper face, i.e. the face on which the plants will rest, is flat. Danish carts are mainly, if not exclusively, used in the horniculture. The lower side of the plastic sheet" 1 can show the generally used reinforcing ribs. These do not belong to the essence of the invention. At least one, but preferably two holes
2, appear in the sheet 1 and are meant to facilitate the stacking etc. of the boards.
Since the board according to the invention is spouted out of a synthetic product, it is simple to provide the holes for facilitating the grasping of the board, at the required positions. Up to now, in fibreboards, such holes could of course not be imagined.
Along the two large sides of the sheet 1, each time a metal frame 3 is lodged in a continuous groove. The extremities of the metal frames have the form of a hook. With the reference 4 (figures 2 and 4) , reference is made to these extremities with the form of a hook. The metal frames can be continuous but frames which extend over only part of the length of the large side of the rectangular sheet 1, could also suffice. Rivet nuts 5 assure a sturdy connection between the metal frames and the synthetic material, of which the board is spouted. In the figures 2, 4 and 5, with reference number 6, reference is made to a flenge which of course comes into being together with the board, in one manipulation. Said flenge 6 forms a continuous groove with the longitudinal rim of the rectangular sheet 1, in which groove each time a metal frame 3 can be caught.
Along the large rims 7 as well as along the short rim 8 of the rectangular sheet 1, each time a continuous flenge 9, respectively 10 is provided, so that during the stacking of the boards, the latter can be lodged in each other perfectly.
The invention is not limited to the embodiment described above and numerous variations could be applied, without extending beyond the scope of the patent application, as far as the variations fall within the scope of the claims attached hereto.

Claims

CLAIMS.
1. Board to be fixed to the stiles of a so called Danish cart, characterised in that it consists of a rectangular sheet of synthetic material which is, at least along part of the large side of the rectangle, reinforced by metal frames, the extremities of which that stick out of the rectangular sheet, have the form of a hook.
2. Board according to claim 1, characterised in that said metal rod, taken along the width of the rectangular sheet, extends at a distance of a continuous flenge which belongs to said sheet.
3. Board according to claim 2, characterised in that said frames are caught in a continuous groove, which belongs to said sheet.
4. Board according to any one of claims 2 - 3, characterised in that along the short sides of the rectangular sheet, said sheet is also provided with a flenge, in such a way that the, with a tolerance, lodging of the boards into one another can take place.
5. Board according to any one of claims 1 - 4, characterised in that in said sheet at least one hole is present.
