Abstract

Cette invention concerne un module répartiteur entièrement optique qui, outre les signaux optiques d'acheminement, offre des fonctions de contrôle du signal et d'identification du trajet du signal. Dans un mode de réalisation, chaque module répartiteur bidirectionnel comprend deux filtres de multiplexage par répartition en longueur d'onde (MRL) et à quatre accès. L'un de ces filtres comprend un accès d'entrée du signal de transmission (Tx-In), un accès de sortie du signal de transmission (Tx-Out), un accès de sortie du contrôle de la transmission (Tx-Mon-Out), ainsi qu'un accès de sortie d'identification du trajet (Path-ID-Out). Le second filtre comprend, quant à lui, un accès d'entrée du signal de réception (Rx-In), un accès de sortie du signal de réception (Rx-Out), un accès à double fonction entrée d'identification du trajet/sortie de contrôle du signal de réception (Path-ID-In/Rx-Mon-Out) et, enfin, un accès qui possède une terminaison optique empêchant toute réflexion des signaux. Chacun de ces deux filtres est conçu de manière à coupler des fréquences choisies à l'accès pertinent. Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, plusieurs coupleurs standards peuvent être combinés à des filtres MRL à trois accès de manière à offrir sensiblement les mêmes capacités de fonctionnement.
