Abstract
The device according to the present invention comprises air pumps (1) installed in coupling with the refrigerating apparatuses (M) and (SC), provided with channels (2) internal to the structure (S) of the electric household appliances and leading to suction openings (3) on the walls of the single cells (C), provided with doors (4) with sealing means (4), or on the whole ambient (A), provided with a sealing door (P).
Description
"A DEVICE FOR OBTAINING AND MAINTAINING THE VACUUM INSIDE REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER CELLS"
The present invention concerns a device, housed in coupling with the functioning components of refrigerators, freezers and similar, for obtaining and maintaining the vacuum inside one or more cells or in the whole ambient for the preservation of food and similar.
It is well known that the preservation periods of food at low temperatures are considerably reduced by the development of bacteria and funga in presence of air.
It is also known that said periods are considerably increased if the products to be preserved are closed in vacuum films. Also the organoleptic features of the foods, in such case, are maintained in a protection against decomposition and the development of bacteria.
On the other hand, once the vacuum packings are opened said protection is anulled and therefore does no longer respond to the hygienic rules to maintain the leftovers, even inside freezers and
at the lowest temperatures, thus limiting the utility of said electric household appliances.
It is the aim of the present invention to realize a device that determines, inside cells or in the whole containing ambient, at the same time the maintaining of low temperatures and of vacuum, so as to allow the hygienic preservation of food and/or other products which have not been previously packed in vacuum films.
The aim set forth is reached by means of the device according to the present invention, comprising air pumps installed in coupling with the refrigerating apparatuses and provided with channels inernal to the structure of the electric household appliances, leading to suction openings housed on the walls of the single cells and provided with doors with sealing means, or the whole ambient beeing correspondingly provided with a sealing door.
Therefore, according to the present invention, each door comprises, for allowing the access to the content, external valves that may be operated on a control for the re-entry of the air when the content is taken by the users, with the
restoration of the vacuum after the closing of the door.
The advantages of the device according to the present invention are evident.
The present invention will be described more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings in which some embodiments are shown.
Figure 1 shows an axonometric and transparency view of a refrigerator provided with a plurality of cells for the preservation of food under vacuum, coupled with conventional planes under atmospheric pressure.
Figure 2 shows a possible installation scheme of the device for obtaining the vacuum inside refrigerators.
Figure 3 shows an axonometric transparency view of a freezer with one single ambient, comprising the device for obtaining the vacuum and an upper door provided with sealing means.
Figure 4 shows a scheme of the complete system for the functioning of a plurality of refrigerator
cells connected to the refrigerating system and, at the same time, to the system for obtaining the vacuu .
The enclosed figures show a device for obtaining and maintaining the vaccuum inside refrigerator and freezer cells, comprising:
- an air pump 1 , with incorporated motor or operated by motor M of the refrigerating system, housed in the frame structure S of the refrigerator;
- a plurality of channels 2 for the suction of the air, inserted in structure S, and leading to openings 3 on the internal surface of the refrigerator cells C or of the whole ambient A;
- a plurality of doors 4 corresponding to each cell C or to the whole ambient A, provided with perimetrical means 5 for the sealing of the vacuum, like gaskets out of rubber and/or plastic material mixtures, not porous for the air passage;
- a refrigerator system with a motor M and with a heat exchanger SC, functioning at the same time for the maintaining of the vacuum in the cells C or in the ambient A;
- means for the external visualization of the vacuum degree reached in the cells C or in the ambient A, like manometers 6, for checking;
- control switches 7 for the opening of valves for the re-entry of the external air when the doors are opened for taking the content.
In possible variants of the present invention, the device may determine the realization of the vacuum only in some of the cells C provided with sealing doors 4, while the remaining part of the refrigerator is kept at atmospheric pressure and is therefore closed by a sealing door 5 or, relating in particular to the freezer shown in figure 3, in the whole ambient A closed by the sole upper door 4 provided with the perimetrical sealing gaskets 5.
Claims
1. A device for obtaining and maintaining the vacuum inside refrigerators and freezer cells for the preservation of food and other, characterized in:
- an air pump (1), with incorporated motor or operated by mo.tor (M) of the refrigerating system, housed in the frame structure (S) of the refrigerator;
- a plurality of channels (2) for the suction of the air, inserted in structure (S), and leading to openings (3) on the internal surface of the refrigerator cells (C) or of the whole ambient (A);
- a plurality of doors (4) corresponding to each cell (C) or to the whole ambient (A), provided with perimetrical means (5) for the sealing of the vacuum, like gaskets out of rubber and/or plastic material mixtures, not porous for the air passage;
- a refrigerator system with a motor (M) and with a heat exchanger (SC), functioning at the same time for the maintaining of the vacuum in the cells (C) or in the ambient (A);
- means for the external visualization of the vacuum degree reached in the cells (C) or in the ambient (A), like manometers (6), for checking; - control switches ( 7 ) for the opening of valves for the re-entry of the external air when the doors are opened for taking the content.
2. A device according to claim 1, characterized in the presence of some cells (C) provided with sealing doors (4), while the remaining part of the refrigerator is kept at atmospheric pressure and is closed with a conventional door (P), without sealing means.
3. A device according to claim 1, characterized in that it obtaines the vacuum in the whole ambient (A) closed by the sole upper door (4) provided with the perimetrical sealing gaskets (5).
