Definitions
- the present invention provides a virtual real image and two simultaneously opposed virtual images, provided by two mirrors.
- two orthogonally placed mirrors are also used but instead of seeing them longitudinally, they are seen perpendicular to the vertex thereof and then it can be seen that the three images of the person are formed and a kaleidoscope image may be present framing the images of the observer.
- a mirror is provided in the form of a right angle prism, which has two Mirrors with a first reflective surface, closed in the front by a plane provided with a window, with an interior frame. Both lateral ends are closed by triangular elements thus providing a mirror in which the inner frame is reflected twice in opposite virtual images and between them a virtual real image is formed.
- the two mentioned mirrors can be the same or they can be of different widths and lengths and of a square or rectangular shape. If the mirror is large enough, it will reflect the entire body of the observer and when the mirror is small enough, one-eye reflection can be achieved for example.
- the plane that encloses the mirrors has a double function, first as an internal frame of the image and second as an external frame, to form a new mirror housing.
- the inner frame serves as a window and to frame the three images inside the mirror and can have any suitable shape although, preferably it can be square, rectangular, circular or oval and depending on the use you want to give the mirror the one that is most adequate.
- the above-mentioned plane can be of any shape or size and of course it can be constructed with any kind of suitable material, preferably as a mirror to which the silver coating has been removed, to form the inner frame.
- the mentioned internal frame can be an open or closed window with glass, it can be decorated on the inside, together with triangular elements that enclose it so that when reflected they form a box or a decorative frame, in the form of a three-dimensional virtual box, with Four windows
- the first reflection mirrors are more suitable in order to have images that coincide at the vertex, without there being a space produced by the thickness of the glass in the mirrors of the second reflection.
- the virtual image is normal, but if they are placed horizontally the image is inverted 180 ° and if the mirror is rotated, the image rotates twice as fast.
- one of the eyes of the observer is always at the apex of the two mirrors regardless of the position of said observer within a range of 90 °.
- each one appreciates their real image, but does not "see” the image of the other person.
- the novel mirror when small enough, can reflect a single eye of the observer and if a magnifying glass is placed in front of the mirrors, the amplification effect is doubled and the observer has to find the appropriate focal length, either decreasing or increasing the distance between the eye and the mentioned magnifying glass and No need to wear common glasses.
- ladies will find this new type of mirror extremely convenient for makeup, in a much easier and more precise way.
- mirrors may have a housing box to protect the back of them.
- the mirror of the invention can be placed inside a cabinet or a piece of furniture or can be integrated as part of the "interior decoration of a room or similar enclosure. This mirror can also be used for display and advertising purposes when objects or even people are placed inside.
- the mirror can be artificially illuminated by electric light lamps or the like.
- Figure 1 is a front view of the novel mirror of the present invention
- Figure 2 is a rear view of the mirror of this invention
- Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view of the mirror of the invention taken along the lines AA 'of Figure 1;
- Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view of the novel mirror taken along lines A-A ', of said Figure 1, with a magnifying glass in front of the mirror;
- Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view of the mirror, taken along lines B-B ', in the
- Figure 6 is a view of the mirror of the invention in cross-section, taken along the lines B-B 'of Figure 1, with a magnifying glass, as illustrated in the
- Figure 7 is an exploded perspective view, from the back of the novel mirror
- Figure 8 is a diagrammatic top view, showing the images that are produced when an observer is placed in front of the novel mirror of this invention.
- Figure 9 is a perspective view of the mirror of the invention, in an embodiment of size large enough to reflect the entire body image of an observer;
- Figure 10 is a perspective view of the mirror of this invention, in a medium-sized mode, suitable for reflecting the entire face of an observer;
- the plane (1) of the novel mirror is limited by an external frame (4) and protected by a housing (8).
- the plane (1) mentioned has a window (5), formed by an internal frame that can have any shape, showing by way of example, an oval shape (2), rectangular (3), etc.
- Fiyuta (3) it is important to indicate that it shows the plane (1) mentioned as an external frame (4), protected by said housing (8) and having the window (5) limited by the internal frame (2) mentioned.
- the window (5) can be open or it can be closed by means of a glass (13).
- the mirror (6) is placed orthogonally to the mirror (7) shown in Figure 2, coinciding with said vertex (9) and said mirrors (6) and (7) rest on the back side of the plane (1) mentioned . Both the back of said plane (1), as well as the mirrors (6) and (7) and the components (11) and (12) can be protected by the housing (21).
- the plane (1) with the aforementioned external frame (4) protected by said housing (8) has a window (5) that is limited by the internal frame (2) .
- This window (5) can be open or it can be closed by means of a glass (13), the mirror (6) being placed orthogonally with respect to the mirror (7) coinciding with the mentioned vertex (9).
