Abstract

On décrit une cellule produisant du fluor à la demande, de même que la construction d'une anode appropriée et les moyens de montage de celle-ci au sein de la cellule, laquelle comprend un contenant (12) possédant un compartiment à cathode (34) ainsi qu'un compartiment à anode (36) contenant une anode (40); ces deux compartiments comportent entre eux des moyens de séparation (22) servant à séparer les gaz, fluor et hydrogène, produits lors du fonctionnement de ladite cellule, et permettant toutefois le passage d'un électrolyte entre les compartiments; l'anode s'étend sous une extrémité inférieure (30) des moyens de séparation et est continuellement en contact avec l'électrolyte. La cellule comprend en outre des capteurs de régulation (60, 62) placés dans au moins un des compartiments afin de détecter le niveau (32) d'électrolyte dans celui-ci, ainsi que des moyens d'alimentation en énergie électrique sensibles à des signaux provenant desdits capteurs de régulation de manière soit à démarrer l'alimentation en énergie en fonction desdits signaux, soit à stopper celle-ci.
