Abstract

The device (1) according to the invention associates an information medium reading apparatus (120) of the portable type to reception circuits (101) which receive unilateral radiomessaging signals. A decoder (102) is controlled by a microprocessor (111) so as to program the decoder (102) to select particular data amongst the stream received. From the selected data, the microprocessor (111) prepares a message having a particular content and a warning signal transmitted to the carrier of the device (1), through optical means (113) or audio means (15). The message may be delivered immediately or at a deferred time. Application particularly to information for public transport users so as to indicate the waiting time at a selected station.
