  • the invention has been developed primarily for supporting visual display units and keyboards associated with computers or word processors and will be described hereinafter with reference to that application. Abstract

Un pupitre réglable (1) comprend une base (2) pourvue d'une paire de pieds parallèles (3) réunis par un élément transversal intermédiaire (4). Une première colonne rectangulaire creuse (5) s'étend vers le haut, s'écartant de l'élément (4), et une seconde colonne rectangulaire creuse (6) est montée de façon complémentaire et télescopique dans la colonne (5) pour pouvoir passer d'une configuration déployée à une configuration rétractée et inversement. La colonne (5) comporte deux rainures parallèles (30, 31) à ouverture vers l'intérieur, semi-circulaires dans la section transversale, et se terminant au niveau des lèvres internes et externes (32, 33). Ces rainures s'étendent au moins partiellement conjointement avec une quantité correspondante de rainures (38, 39) à ouverture vers l'extérieur formant une colonne (6). Des roulements à billes sont maintenus à l'intérieur du passage formé par la co-extension des ces rainures pour faciliter l'engagement télescopique entre les colonnes (5, 6). Une plaque d'espacement (45) maintient les roulements à billes espacés, loin les uns des autres, de manière fixe.
