Abstract

This invention relates to a single-row radial rolling bearing used advantageously for high-speed spindles. A single-row radial rolling bearing has an inner race (1) or an outer race (2) shaped as a spherical surface sector of radius rb=r/cosαo, beginning at an axis (3) of a bearing, the operating angle of which is αo=3° to 45°, and at those races there is situated a protecting element (4).

Description

Single-row radial rolling bearing
This invention relates to a single-row radial rolling bearing, used advantageously for high-speed spindles.
There are known double-row self-aligning rolling bearings transmitting perpendicular and longitudinal forces, enabling adjustment of the fastening of rotatable elements, especially shafts in their housings.
There are also known angle rolling bearings used for supporting high-speed machine parts.
The disadvantages of known bearings are : their exceptional sensitivity to any misalignment of mounted parts, and their substantial width limiting a thickness of bearing seating walls.
The purpose of this invention is to eliminate the disadvantages of known bearings by a design of a rolling bearing not sensitive to the misalignment of seating by using an inner or outer ring of a self- aligning bearing.
A single-row radial rolling bearing, according to the invention, is characterized by that it has an inner race or an outer race shaped as a spherical surface sector with a radius rb=r/cosαo being at an axis of a bearing having an operation angle αo=3 to 45º. On an inner or outer race there is situated an element preventing parts of a bearing from disconnecting.
The design of a bearing according to the invention makes it possible to align a bearing properly and freely on a shaft thanks to the possibility of eliminating mistakes in the alignment of an inner or outer race.
Rolling elements of identical diameters. filling completely the races, enable, thanks to the design, to obtain a clearance between them, while the bearing is working, as the result of centrifugal forces.
The exemplary emnodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, where Fig. 1 is a section through a bearing having an inner race, the surface of which is shaped as a spherical surface sector and Fig.2 is a section through a bearing having an outer race, the surface of which is shaped as a spherical surface sector.
The bearing has the inner race 1 or the outer race 2 shaped as a spherical surface sector having a radius rb=r/cosαo, which begins at the axis 3 of the bearing, the operating angle of which is αo=3 to 45º.
On the outer race 1 or the inner race 2 there is situated the element 4 protecting parts of the bearing from disconnection.
