Über das nicht näher dargestellte Bedienpult kann der Regeleinheit nun der Befehl gegeben werden, daß sich das Rollband nach oben bewegen soll und somit von der oberen Wickelwalze 1 aufgerollt wird. Nun kann es hierbei aufgrund der Größenabmessungen des Rollbandapparates zum seitlichen Auswandern des Rollbandes 5 kommen. Ein solches seitliches Auswandern des Rollbandes wird durch die Sensoren 17 registriert, woraufhin entsprechend einem vorbestimmten Progrcimm entweder der Verstellmotor 14 für die untere Wickelwalze 2 oder der Verstellmotor 14' für die obere Wickelwalze 1 betätigt wird, um dem Auswandern des Rollbandes entgegenzuwirken. Eine Möglichkeit der Regelung besteht z.B. darin, daß beim Aufwickeln des Rollbandes 5 auf die obere Wickelwalze die untere Wickelwalze 2 seitlich so verschoben wird, daß die Bandkanten 16 des Rollbandes 5 stets in einem bestimmten Soll-Bereich geführt werden, dessen Einhaltung durch die Sensoren 17 überwacht und durch entsprechende Signalgabe der Regeleinheit 15 gewährleistet ist. Eine andere Möglichkeit wäre die, beim Aufwickeln auf die obere Wickelwalze 1 diese in die gleiche Richtung zu verschieben, in der das Rollband 5 auswandert. Aufgrund dieser unterschiedlichen Steuerung-smöglichkeiten ist es auch denkbar, daß lediglich eine der Wickelwalzen verschieblich angeordnet ist, während die andere Wickelwalze starr ist.
