Abstract

A folder, in particular for samples, publicity prints or tenders, as well as a ring binder and a letter-file for offices, publicity and school purposes, comprises a stiff intermediate layer, in particular of cardboard, upon which is applied a paper-holder made of either a neutral roller (fig. 1, nr. 1-4) or printed or not with the company name. During printing already, an inscription field (label) may be provided, that need not be glued by the user himself and that may be inscribed by means of the usual writing appliances. The cardboard intermediate layer is previously coated by an extruder with fluid granulate plastic (PP/PE), and the paper web coated with the transparent PP/PE-film is led through a stamping station that imprints various designs on the paper web (fig. 3). The plastic film can extend up to open edges of the intermediate layer (fig. 4) or can be drawn over the edges up to the inner side of the intermediate layer (fig. 5). Usually, the inner side is also provided with a paper/PP/PE combination. The product, in particular a letter-file, is further characterized by having a single continuous outer cover.
