Abstract

Protéine purifiée présentant une masse moléculaire apparante d'environ 800 kDa, appelée mérosine. L'invention concerne également une variante de laminine hétérotrimère sensiblement pure, comprenant la structure M-X-B2, dans laquelle M représente le polypeptide M de mérosine; X est sélectionné dans le groupe composé de la chaîne B1 de laminine et de S-laminine; et B2 représente la chaîne B2 de laminine. L'invention concerne également une séquence d'acides nucléiques isolée, codant la mérosine. En outre, l'invention concerne des anticorps, des vecteurs, ainsi que l'expression de protéines recombinées à l'aide d'un système de vecteurs hôtes. On décrit également l'utilisation de mérosine afin de stimuler la croissance de neurites.
