Abstract

L'invention concerne un gyroscope vibrant fonctionnant selon le principe d'ondes vibratoires se déplaçant, le long d'une surface élastique courbée (1), transversalement par rapport à cette dernière, et soumis aux forces de Coriolis lors de la rotation de ladite surface de manière à décaler la phase du signal. La surface est constituée par une bande spiralée (1) en métal comportant un générateur (5) et un détecteur (7) de vibrations à chaque extrémité. Les ondes vibratoires sont transmises dans les deux sens simultanément et la différence de phase entre les signaux reçus est déterminée (9). Cet agencement procure une mesure de la vitesse de rotation. Le gyroscope a une grande sensibilité et est particulièrement adapté à des systèmes de suspension à cardan. Par conséquent il vient en complément du gyroscope vibratoire du brevet n°. 2164749.
