Abstract

Afin de contrôler si une installation de gaz est totalement étance, on monte une vanne (3) de fermeture dans la conduite (2) de raccordement à un immeuble (9) avec un débitmètre (4) et une unité (5) de commande électronique. De plus, on peut monter des détecteurs (8) de gaz dans les pièces (10) de l'immeuble. Si du gaz est présent dans une pièce (10), le détecteur de gaz (8) envoie des signaux à la vanne magnétique (3) par l'intermédiaire de l'unité (5) de commande, après quoi l'alimentation en gaz est immédiatement couplée. On peut ainsi effectuer une vérification et donc une surveillance continue de l'installation par des mesures périodiques de la consommation de gaz, et lorsque celle-ci dépasse la normale le gaz est immédiatement coupé, car il est probable que la ''consommation'' est due à une fuite. Ainsi le système de contrôle agit indépendamment de la présence de personnes et l'on peut empêcher de manière simple et fiable les accidents résultant de fuites de gaz.
