Abstract
Description
WÄRME- UND/ODER SCHALLISOLIERENDE TAPETE SOWIE VERFAHREN ZU DEREN HERSTELLUNG HEAT AND / OR SOUND INSULATING WALLPAPER AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The invention relates to a heat and / or sound-insulating wallpaper, in particular for subsequent heat and / or sound insulation of the inner wall surfaces of buildings and apartments, and methods for producing this wallpaper.
The so-called sub-wallpapers and other similar wall cladding elements are known for the heat and sound insulation of inner wall surfaces, which usually consist of a thicker, mostly made of a foamed plastic material, heat and sound-insulating carrier layer and a cover layer mostly made of paper, the latter in the form an exterior decor can be applied from colors or wallpaper. A fundamental disadvantage of these wall cladding elements is that the heat-insulating carrier layer is usually stiff, that is to say it cannot be rolled up, but can be supplied predominantly in the form of a plate. This, of course, complicates and extends the process of applying the wallpaper, especially when the individual plate elements are joined together, the butt joints (intermediate gaps) of which must be filled (filled) with plaster. Another disadvantage of this wallpaper is that thermal bridges are formed at these joints of the elements to be joined, which largely deteriorates the effect of the heat-insulating layer. It is also disadvantageous that the foam materials used are sensitive to impact or pressure, so that when the wallpaper is processed and applied, pressure points arise which cannot be covered by an outer decorative layer either. The known sub-wallpapers are also not sufficiently resistant to moisture penetration.
In order to remedy these disadvantages, a sub-wallpaper was proposed in DE-OS 29 09 011, which has a heat-insulating carrier layer consisting of at least two film webs of thermoplastic plastic that are firmly connected to one another in pattern-like partial areas, the film webs enclosing hermetically sealed gas-filled cells (air inclusions) . A moisture-permeable paper layer is laminated on the inside of this carrier layer, while a paper layer, which may also serve as decorative wallpaper (top wallpaper), is laminated on the outside. Due to the multiple plastic layer, this solution is sufficiently resistant to moisture and can also be wound up due to the corrugated design of the one plastic layer. In addition, its elastic structure also eliminates the aesthetic errors arising as a result of the pressure.
The disadvantage of this solution is that at least four different layers have to be connected to one another and due to the wavy patterned design the one plastic layer the structure of this wallpaper becomes even more complicated. If necessary, to ensure the desired heat-insulating effect due to the air pockets, a significant thickness is necessary, which increases the volume of the product and at the same time reduces its strength. This solution also does not solve the problem of thermal bridges between the individual wallpaper winding webs and does not provide a practical solution for the faultless, wrinkle-free lamination of the cover layer onto a relatively thick carrier layer.
The object of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages of the previous solutions and to create a heat and sound-insulating wallpaper of high effectiveness for heat and sound insulation of the inner surfaces of buildings or apartments, which wallpaper can be produced in the usual roll form, the dilation cracks finally disappear that eliminates thermal bridges and enables the formation of completely flat, aesthetic surfaces.
The object was achieved by a multi-layered carrier layer made of at least one heat-insulating material and a cover layer laminated together with this, whereby according to the invention the carrier layer is formed by a 5-20 mm thick, heat-insulating material of dense structure, the at least one long side of which is trimmed and the cover layer overlaps the carrier layer on one long side of the wallpaper roll. The thick, but wrapable carrier layer made of a heat-insulating material ensures effective heat and sound insulation with sufficient stability (strength) and ease of application, while the top layer overlapping the carrier layer enables the formation of a continuously smooth, joint-free surface.
According to the invention, in the interest of better matching, in particular the elimination of the thermal bridges, it is expedient if the carrier layer is cut at least along its one but advantageously along its two long side (s) perpendicularly or obliquely, advantageously at 70 °.
The heat-insulating backing layer can be, in particular, the easily wrapped polystyrene foam with open cells, for example the so-called HS 2 Mikecell, but this material can be replaced by polyurethane foam, carpet from PVC waste, or felt blanket from waste hemp if necessary.
Various known materials can be used as the cover layer, in particular paper, paper wallpaper optionally provided with decor. The impact resistance can be increased by laminating several layers of paper together. A cover layer formed by laminating paper and aluminum foil together can be used in particular behind radiators and other radiators due to its heat reflecting properties. In addition, however, can be used as a deck Layer also numerous other materials, such as PVC film, textile, textile wallpaper, etc. are used.
According to the respective goals and requirements, numerous variations of the wallpaper according to the invention can be produced by the variations in the thickness of the carrier layer and the composition of the cover layer.
The process for producing the wallpapers according to the invention, in which, in the case of continuous forwarding, the one side surface of the backing layer, which has a width corresponding to the dimensions of the wallpaper roll and is made of windable, heat-insulating material, is coated with adhesive, the top layer is fed to the backing layer, and the two between laminating rollers are laminated together, the laminated wallpaper is dried, finally wound up, according to the invention is characterized in that before the lamination, the major part of the moisture content of the dispersed polymer adhesive applied to the backing layer during the free continuation of the surface coated with adhesive on a predetermined route with the supply of warm Air is evaporated, while the cover layer is supplied to the carrier layer in a width that exceeds the width of the carrier layer and the one long side of the laminated wallpaper after drying is passed between two pairs of rollers with trimming knives. It is important to emphasize here that a laminated polymer adhesive is used to laminate the carrier layer and the top layer together, the moisture content (solvent content) of which is largely evaporated before laminating, which on the one hand increases the adhesiveness of the adhesive and on the other hand the paper or any other Hygroscopic material of the cover layer does not absorb the moisture and does not expand, after which it would contract after drying, and in this way nestles completely wrinkle-free on the carrier layer and can be wound up with it without breaking.
According to the invention, the trimming of the backing layer, which brings about the better matching and the elimination of thermal bridges, is carried out before the adhesive is applied to the backing layer. For the purpose of eliminating the thermal bridges, it is particularly effective if the trimming is carried out obliquely, advantageously at an angle including an approximately 70 ° with the vertical, because in such cases the obliquely and relatively widely lying surfaces largely eliminate the butt joints causing the thermal bridges.

Top layer is supplied for lamination with the heat-insulating carrier layer. After drying, the laminated wallpaper is fed between two pairs of rollers to an octagonal trimming knife, which continuously cuts the one long side of the wallpaper, on the side where the cover layer does not overlap the carrier layer. The wallpaper is then expediently wound up in such a way that the thinner cover layer is on the outside, while the thicker heat-insulating carrier layer is on the inside.
It is advisable to stick the wallpaper according to the invention to the wall surface to be protected with the aid of a disperse adhesive which, in contrast to the wallpaper adhesives diluted with water, does not cause any corrosion of the nail locations on the wall surface, e.g. for wall surfaces that are covered with a cockroach.
Incidentally, the use of the wallpaper according to the invention is equally advantageous for the subsequent heat and sound insulation of conventional buildings, weekend houses made of wood, light absorbent tapes, ceiling rooms or concrete-type wall surfaces and also for the formation of smooth, gap-free aesthetic wall surfaces.
The wallpaper according to the invention is a cheap product in numerous variants, which can be produced according to the respective requirements, the use of which requires no specialist knowledge and can be cut to the desired length from a conventional rollfin form.
