Abstract

By selection of the fulcrum point (P), an X-ray apparatus for producing tomographic images may be easily adapted to a predetermined body section without the need of vertical displacement of the patient. The synchronised movements of the X-ray source (22) and film cassette (46) along separate paths (43, 49) are coordinated by a control unit (47).
