Abstract
Un article pouvant être utilisé comme implant corporel est fait d'une composition polymère de phase multiple comprenant: a) une première phase d'un composant polymère sensiblement non-hydrophile; et b) une deuxième phase d'un composant polymère hydrophile. Ladite composition (i) est capable d'absorber de l'eau à un point tel qu'elle se ramollit dans une proportion de ramollissement d'au moins 2:1 environ et/ou se gonfle dans une proportion de gonflement d'au moins 1,3:1 environ; et (ii) lorsque complètement hydratée a une résistance à la rupture égale à au moins 700N-cm/cm3 et un module de sécante à 2,5% de moins de 7.000N/cm2 environ.
