Abstract
A device for the carrying of skis. A sleeve (1) receives the rear end/ends of one or several skis. This end/ ends is/ are engaged into the sleeve. A wheel is attached to the sleeve. The device facilitates the manual ski transportation, which is carried out by rolling instead of as earlier carrying skis.
Description
SKI CARRIER
This invention relates to a device for carrying one or several skis. Millions of skiers have big problems to transport their skis, when the skis are manually carried, because the heavy skis at present must be carried usually on the shoulder.
The invention is intended to avoid this problem and presents a ski carrier, which is easy to attach to the skis and easy to carry everywhere, so it can be used every time for skitransportation. This object is achieved by a device, which is characterized of one or several of the advantages defined in the claims.
The invention is described more in detail in the fpllowing (with references made to the figure in the application, which shows a longitudinal section of the invention). One eg rectangular sleeve of elastic material as plastic or rubber is, constructed to internally receive the rear ends of two skis. The skis are touching each other with their undersides as usual when carried. The end of the sleeve, which opposes the end, which receives the skis, can be closed, as shown, and from this end extends two flanges 3, between which is a wheel or roll, which is settled in the flanges. The wheel or roll is spoolshaped, that is, it narrows down towards the bearing ends. The wheel axis has reference number 5.
When the device is used for transport of skis, the sleeve
is pushed on the skis and the sleeve is so dimensioned that the elasticity locks, the rear ends of. the skis in the sleeve.
In order to achieve a still stronger lock the sleeve can flare conically inwards, at which a larger distance is obtained from which the elastic forces of the sleeve work on the skis, as shown in the figure.
The conical flare is preferably defined of ribs arranged longitudinal along the inside of the sleeve. In another form, the sleeve is made of an elastic or only deformable material. One side of the sleeve is hinged on the other side and opened before the skis are entered into the sleeve. Then the hinged side is let down and by means of a clasp or tightener attached to the sleeve locked for a firm grip between skis and the device (frictiongrip, sgueezegrip).
It has been shown that a device of the described kind, about 10 cm long, which can be carried in a pocket, facilitates the transportation of skis because the user does not need to carry the skis, but can either push them ahead of himself or pull them behind himself. Another advantage of the device is that the rear ends of the skis are protected when the skis are placed upright, eg when the skier stands in a liftqueue.
Claims
1. Ski carrier, characterized in that a sleeve portion (1) is provided to receive with engagement the rear end of the ski or the skis, said sleeve portion is having attached thereon one or several wheels or rolls (4) so that said ski/skis may be rolled by pulling or pushing.
2. Device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the sleeve consists of a deformable or elastic material and flare conically from the end, which receives the skis.
3. Device as claimed in claim 1 or 2 characterized in that ribs are arranged longitudinal along the inside of the sleeve.
4. Device as claimed in either of. the claims 1-3 characterized in that a wheel is provided on the sleeve's rear end, which is closed.
