Abstract
La presente invención provee un método y composiciones para el tratamiento de cultivos y otros productos de plantas para incrementar el contenido de proteína y aminóacidos en plantas. El método y las composiciones aumentan el nivel de aminoácidos libres y proteína en los tegumentos del maíz, particularmente en las semillas. Se provee una planta y semilla de maíz transgénico. La expresión del producto realza y mejora el valor nutricional de las fuentes de maíz nutritivo y maíz alimenticio y de lso productos procesados derivados de semillas de maíz transgénico o partes de las mismas. La presente invención se refiere también a alimento para animales que comprende la semilla antes mencionada.
