Abstract
Proceso para la purificación de aguas residuales en varias etapas sucesivas que comprende: a- el sometimiento de las aguas residuales a un tratamiento anaeróbico en una primera etapa; b- el sometimiento de las aguas residuales de la primera etapa a un tratamiento aeróbico en una segunda etapa; c- el sometimiento de las aguas residuales de la segunda etapa a aclarado y sedimentación en una tercera etapa; y d- el control del volumen de la primera etapa para controlar el tiempo de residencia de las aguas residuales en la etapa de tratamiento anaeróbico, de modo de permitir un rápido ajuste de dicho tiempo de residencia en la etapa de tratamiento anaeróbico durante la propia operación del proceso, para poder adecuarlo a los requerimientos variables en el tratamiento de dicho tipo de aguas residuales. Se incluye también aquel proceso que incluye la etapa de suministrar lodo a la etapa de tratamiento anaeróbico y de variar el suministro de lodo a la etapa de tratamiento anaeróbico conforme a las diferentes condiciones del proceso; como también aquel que incluya el agregado de sustancias que absorban oxígeno en la etapa de tratamiento anaeróbico. La invención también comprende un sistema para la purificación de aguas residuales que comprende: a- una región de tratamiento anaeróbico para la eliminación de fósforo biológico; b- una región de lodo activo para el tratamiento aeróbico de las aguas residuales recibidas de la región de tratamiento anaeróbico; c- una región de aclarado y sedimentación para el aclarado de las aguas residuales recibidas de la región de tratamiento aeróbico; d- una línea de retorno para el reciclaje del lodo activo de la región de sedimentación hacia una región anterior del proceso; y e- una disposición para variar el volumen de la región de tratamiento anaeróbico y del tiempo de residencia de las aguas residuales que están sujetas a dicho tratamiento anaeróbico de modo de permitir un rápido ajuste de dicho tiempo de residencia en la etapa de tratamiento anaeróbico durante la propia operación del proceso, para poder adecuarlo a los requerimientos variables en el tratamiento de dicho tipo de aguas residuales.
