Abstract
Se describe un proceso termoquímico de limpieza de tanques de almacenamiento, conteniendo borras de petróleo o derivados, mediante la actuación combinada de un solvente orgánico y la generación de gas nitrógeno y calor, por lo que se producen calentamiento "in situ", agitación por turbulencia y flotación de la borra fluidizada, la cual, luego de su recolección y traslado para tanques o desalinizadoras, puede integrarse en el flujograma normal de refino. Se caracteriza por abarcar las etapas de: a) preparar muestras, analizar y establecer la composición química dela borra; b) preparar en mezcladores adecuados soluciones acuosas de sal nitrogenada reductora y de sal nitrogenada oxidante en estequiometría equimolar; c) determinar en escala de laboratorio el tenor porcentual ideal de ácido orgánico débil; d) trasladar hacia el tanque que contiene la borra el volumen previamente calculado de solvente orgánico; e) trasladar distintamente las soluciones de sales nitrogenadas hacia camiones-tanques; f) bombear, luego de la adición de la proporción adecuada de activador determinada en c); g) opcionalmente, añadir volumen de agua industrial suficiente para formar lastre por debajo de la fase de aceite; h) trasladar gradualmente la fase de aceite hacia tanques de crudo y/o desalinizadores; i) trasladar gradualmente la fase acuosa, con elevada salinidad; j) opcionalmente remover residuos sólidos inorgánicos por la puerta de visita del tanque.
