DESIGN FOR A CHEESE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,706, dated December 11, 1900.

Application filed November 12, 1900. Serial No. 36,300. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that we, DELL CROSBY and JULIUS R. MEYERS, citizens ol the United States, residing at Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Cheese, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.

Said drawing illustrates in perspective a cheese made in accordance with our novel design.

The essential or characteristic features of a cheese made in accordance with our novel design are as follows: Said cheese has the form of a symmetrical oblong polygonal figure and is generally rectangular in plan view. The side and end faces of the cheese taper slightly from the upper to the lower faces thereof. On one face of the cheese is formed a plurality or series of shallow transverse depressions which are parallel with each other and the shorter faces or ends of the cheese. Said depressions terminate short of the side edges of the face in which they are formed on both sides of the cheese, thereby leaving a bordelat the edges of said face surrounding said depressions. Said depressions are located at equal dista neos apart, and the two depressions at the ends ofthe series are located a distance from the short or end faces of the cheese slightly greater than the distance between adjacent depressions.
