DESIGN.
Patented Oct. 9, I900.
P. J. WILSON.
TREE BOOT PROTECTOR.
[Application filed Sept. 6, 1900.]
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
PETER J. WILSON, OF BEN LOMOND, CALIFORNIA.
DESIGN FOR A TREE-ROOT PROTECTOR.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 33,332, dated October 9, 1900.
Application filed September 5, 1900. Serial No. 29,095. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, PETER J. WILSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ben Lomond, in the county of Santa Cruz and State of California, have invented a certain new and useful Design for a Tree-Root Protector; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relates to a new and useful design for a tree-root protector and burrowing-animal obstructer; and the novelty consists in the design for the same, as illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which the figure is a perspective view of the design for the tree-root protector and burrowing-animal obstrncter embodying my invention.
The leading feature of my design for the tree-root protector and burrowing-animal obstructer consists of a circular band having its parallel edges formed with a series of serrated triangnlar-shaped points or barbs, as illustrated in the accompanying drawing. It will be noted that these points or barbs extend radially outward from the center of the circular band and at an obtuse angle to the body of the band.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and useful, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, 1s
The design for the tree-root protector, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing witmesses.
PETER J. WILSON.
