UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
MAX MCKINNEY, OF NEXV YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR OF FIVE-EIGHTIIS TO CHARLES M. DOBSON, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A TOY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,868, dated May 23, 1899.
Application filed May 10, 1898. Serial No. 680,322. Term of patent 3 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MAX MCKINNEY, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Toys, of which the following is a specification.
The new design relates to toys.
My present invention provides a new and original shape for toys.
The new design is shown in the accompanying drawing, which is a perspective view of a toy.
In the drawing, A represents a spherical body; B, a small cylindrical downward projection therefrom; O, a short cylindrical portion at the extremity of the projection B, which portion has longitudinal flutes or serrations; D, a relatively large square projection at the upper side of the sphere A and diametrically opposite the projection B; E, a plurality of squares on the end of the projection D; F, recesses between such squares, and G irregular waving members from the end of the projection D.
The body A is a smooth sphere. The projection B is relatively small and of smooth cylindrical exterior. The member (3 is comparatively short, substantially cylindrical, and of slightly greater diameter than the projection B. The projection D is relatively large and of square or rectangular cross-section. The recesses F are parallel withits longitudinal axis and have a depth equaling a small portion of its length. The members G are wavy and irregular projections from the projection D,extending outwardly and upwardly therefrom at approximately right angles to each other.
hat I claim is-- The design for a toy as herein shown and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
