Be it known that we, THOMAS R. KENNEDY and EDWARD J. KING, citizens of the United States, and residents of Rochester, in the 5 county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented and produced a new, original, and ornamental Design for IIeating-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, ret'- erence being had to the accompanying` drawo ings, forming part thereof.

The illustration is a perspective View of a heating-stove embodying our new design.

The leading feature of our design consists of the general outlineorcontour of the stove 5 as a whole and to the surface ornamentation application to the several parts thereof.

A indicates the base ot' the stove, which is substantially rectangular, having the curved ornamental legs 1 at the corners and proo vided at the sides with the large scroll ornaments 2, extending from the corners above the legs 1 to the scroll design 3 at the center.

The sides of the base curve inwardly at their upper edges, and between the scrolls 2 at the 5 corners these portions are also provided with ribs et, and between the latter are small ornamental panels 5.

The ash-pit section B is provided at the front with the door 6, having a foot-rest ernbodying the ends 7, provided with scroll ornamentation, as shown, and the lower outwardlyextending portion 8, above which will be seen the damper-openings 9. The corners of the section are decorated with a 5 scroll-and-leaf ornamentation 10, while at the sides are the foot-rests 11, provided with the central scroll 12 in relief. Arranged above the ashpit section and at the forward side of the stove is an apron 13, having the corners rounded and provided with the plain depending ange, as shown.

The body of the stove (indicated by C) is provided at the front with the upper and lower double fire-pot doors 14 and 15, re-

spectively, and at the sides with correspond- 45 ing doors 16 and 17, all of said doors having the mica panels, and the upper ones at the front and sides are ornamented with the spiral scrolls 18, while the corresponding lower doors are provided with the scroll 19. tween the upper and lower doorsis a narrow band or zone decorated with the scroll-andleaf design 30. At the forward corners the body is provided with the outwardly-extending ornaments 2O of filigree-work.

The top section D, surinounting the body of the stove, has the rounding upper surface and corners, forming a depending edge 21, above which the section is decorated with the Be- 5o scrolls 22 at the corners, connected by a band 6o 23 in relief. Below the edge 21 the section is recessed or curved inwardly, forming niches at the center of the sides,and at each side of which the corners extend downwardly and are decorated with the design 24:.V Between 65 THOMAS R.
