UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
OSCAR A. PRIOR, OF DETROIT, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR A TOY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,880, dated April 22, 1902.
Application filed March 31,1902. Serial No. 100,848. Term of patent 3% years.
To (ZZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, OSCAR A. PRIOR, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Toy, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure l is a front view of the toy. Fig. 2 is a side view of the same.
Similar letters refer to similar parts.
The leading or material feature of the design of this toy consists of the adherence to a globular form as nearly as may be had to a true globe only those features which will bring out somewhat the figure of a human form.
The main part of the toy is the globular body A, on which are narrow projections which form the representations of arms B and O, the projection formed to the configuration of a head at D, with a cap E, and the projections F and G in the form of feet. The upper part of the ball is fashioned to represent roughly a coat with a belt around it, the entire toy retaining as nearly as possible a true globular form with the exception of these projecting parts. At the junction of the head and the body is a representation of a collar 70. The lower part of the ball, below the coat and above the boots, is left plain. tions which represent the arms and the feet, especially those which represent the arms, are not made separate from but simply ridges in the ball.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a toy, herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
OSCAR A. PRIOR.
