DESIGN FOR A SPOON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,106, dated October 13, 1891. Application filed July 25, 1891. Serial No. 400.772. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom may concern:
le it known that I, SAMUEL '1. ADAMS, of New lledford, in the county of Bristol and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design forlIan dies for 'lableW'are, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part hereof. The figure isaplan of ahandle (foraspoon) i0 containing my design.
My design consists in the hereinafter-described outline and ornamentation.
In the drawing showing, my design the butt-end edge a of the handle is curved outr5 wardly from each corner a, formed by the junction of the butt-end edge aand side edges (L2 of the handle. Each side edge (1. is curved inwardly at a from its corner a. toward the inner end of the handle, then outwardly at a, and then inwardly at a. The margin at the butt-end edge Ct has a series of curved ridges b terminating in bosses I), and the margins next the side edges (1 from the corners a to about midway the outward curves a have conventionalized feathers 0 extending from the edges (1 inwardly. From the termination of this feathered work to the termination of the inward curves o these margins have a series of bosses arranged in a curved line. At the termination of the inward curves at the handle has a series of longitudinal ridges If extending from edge to edge of the handle.
