The characteristic feature of my design resides in the arrangement of a layer of insulation applied to the door edge guard as illustrated by the heavy black line in FIGS. 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

It is understood that the side view of the second and fifth embodiments of the door edge guard is the same as the first embodiment shown in FIG. 1 and that the side view of the fourth and sixth embodiments of the door edge guard is the same as the third embodiment shown in FIG. 4. Furthermore, it is understood that the bottom of the six embodiments of the door edge guard is a mirror image of the top and that a transverse cross section through any of the six embodiments of the door edge guard along their length would present the same configuration as the top plan views of FIGS. 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 .
