Description

@leiten tstts getter @ffice ALONZO HEBBARD, 'OF NEW YORK, N. Y. Design No. 2,664, dated June 4, 1867.
lbc .Srlgrhulc rrfrmh tu in tlgrs Erima taient :mt matting mit nf the stmt.
TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, ALONZO HsnnAnD, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented er produced a new and original Design for the Handles of Spoons, Forks, and other articles of table cutlery, ol' which the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making a part of this specication, the same letters of reference, wherever they occur, referring tn like parts.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the handle, showing in dotted outlines the blade of a spoon attached thereto.
Letter A represents un inverted six-sided truncated cone forming the head of thc handle, the base of which is slightly rounded upwards, around the neck of which is a disk, b, having a milled edge, and surmountcd by a spherical knob, c, to complete the upper end of the handle attached to its lower end, or the apex of thc conical figure is a sexagonal stem, d, havingY on it, just below the apex of the conical ligure, a second disk, e, with n milled edge, and near itsjunction with the blade of the fork or spoon (as the case may be) a'collar, f, of corresponding number of sides with that of' the stem, but of slightly increased diameter.
It will be obvious that the design will be enlarged or diminished in size according to its adaptation to dinner` tea, dessert, or other articles of table cutlery to which it may be applied.
Havingr new described my invention of a new design for the handles of spoons, forks, and other articles of table cutlery, I will proceed to set forth what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters of the United States.
I claim the design hercinbefore set forth and described for the handles of spoons, forks, and other articles of table cutlery.
ALONZO HEBBARD.
