JOHN C. MILLER, OF VVATERBURY, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE MATTIIEYVS & WILLARD MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A TABLE-TOP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,339, dated May 28, 1895. Application filed April 22,1895. Serial No. 546.771. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN C. MILLER, of Waterbury, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for a Table-Top; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to he a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification, and represents a top view of a table-top embodying my design.
This invention relates to a design for tabletops, and the design consists in the configuration and ornamentation as herein described and shown in the accompanying illustration.
My newly designed top comprises bosses A, each of which is set in two radially arranged scrolls B B, the outer ends of which have a shell-like border C. These bosses set as described, are alternated with longitudinally arranged oval lattices D, each of which is set in two longitudinally arranged scrolls E E, of which the outer scroll has a leaf-like border F. The spaces between the bosses and lattices are filled in with open work clusters G of flowers and leaves, which join the main ornamental motives together. The inner edges of the several motives rest upon a band H, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design for a table-top as herein shown and described.
