ATTORNEYS Patented July 30, 1940 UNITED STATES Des. 121,668
PATENT OFFICE Louis Bry, Inc., New of New York York, N. Y., a corporation Application May 1, 1940, Serial No. 92,064
Term of patent 3% years To all whom it may concern:
. Be it known that I, Edwin Bry, a citizen of the nited States of America, residing at Elberon', in the county of Monmouth and State or" New Jersey, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Textile Fabrics, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a photographic plan View of the fabric of my design.
Figure 2 is a schematic drawing showing the outline of the various units of the design of my invention and schematically indicating the thread paths comprising said units.
The design comprises a block plaid fabric with a plurality of central blocks embodying a multiplicity of small ornamental elements of peculiar shape which central blocks are surrounded by block areas comprising four corner blocks, said corner blocks having diiferent shaded areas within said blocks, the other border areas between these corner blocks comprising respectively vertical and horizontal stripe areas.
On the drawings, the central block areas are shown, for clarity, by added demarking lines. In the fabric, the sharply contrasting colors of the ornamental elements contained in each block eifect the demarcation.
The design is effected by a two and two twill Weave in a diagonal arrangement.
As diagrammatically illustrated in Figure 2, which represents the area included in the parallelogram indicated by the letter A on Figure 1, the reference numerals l9 denote the background of the fabric and numerals H and I2 denote respectively the Warp and weft threads of the weave which efiect the design.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a textile fabric, as shown and described.
EDWTN BRY.
