Hyle, citizens of the United States of America, residing in the city of New York, State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Shoe or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

Fig. 1 is a plan view of a shoe or similar article showing our new design.

Fig. 2 is a side elevational view thereof.

The essential characteristics of our design as embraced in the specific type of a shoe as shown are the curvatures on the bottom of the sole potof the remainder of the shoe; the upper portion being divided into two parts with the vamp of the shoe higher in front than the upper quarter, the two parts being joined together by four lines of irregular stitching; and the sole and upper portion of the shoe being joined together by means of the stud-like elements surrounding the entire shoe and passing through a narrow band which surrounds only the vamp portion of the shoe.

We claim: The ornamental design for a shoe or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
