Be it known that I, Jack Oliphant, a citizen of the Dominion of Canada, residing at Toronto, in the county of York, in the Province of Ontario, Dominion of Canada, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Sandal, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

The figure in the drawing is a perspective View of the sandal, showing my new design.

The essential features of my design for a sandal comprise a sole and a pair of attaching straps fastened to opposite sides thereof near the front,

said straps being relativelywide and crossing by one weaving through the other, the four arms of the cruciform thus formed being marked with a club, diamond, heart and spade respectively; the straps thereafter narrowing and passing over the edge of the sole are threaded up through slots cut in the said sole near the sides thereof just in advance of the heel portion, and then extending around the downturned portions forming a loop.
