corporation of Illinois To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Sanford S. Vaughan, a citizen of the United States, residing at Oak Park, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Handle for a Hammering Tool, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part thereof.

Figure l of the drawing is a side view of a handle for a hammering tool, showing my new design;

Figure 2 is a plan View of the handle; and

Figure 3 is a transverse sectional view on the line 3-4 of Figure 1.

The characteristic features of my design reside in a handle of the configuration shown, having on its reduced neck portion of elliptical shape a series of four spaced apart longitudinally extending flutes; said flutes being semi-circular in section and of a width equal to substantially one-fifth the major axis of the elliptical neck portion at its smallest diameter and extending in length substantially the full distance of said reduced neck portion.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a handle for a hammering tool substantially as shown and described.
