Be it known that I, Frederick W. Hartup, a citizen of the United States, residing at Covina, in the county of Los Angeles and the State of California, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Check Stand or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of one side and end of a check stand showing my new design;

Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the opposite side and end;

Fig. 3 is a top plan view.

I claim: The ornamental design for a check stand or similar article, substantially as shown.
