Description

z. VAN RAALTB.-
TICKET FOR NET GOODS OR VBILINGS.
Arrmouron nun nno.s,1ooo.
PATBNI'ED JULY 14, 1908.'
UNITED sTATEs PATENT OFFICE.
ZEALIA VAN RAALTE, OF NEW YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR TO S. OPPENHEIMER & LEVY, OF
NEW YORK, N. Y., A FIRMJ] TICKET FOIINET GOODS OR VEILINGS.
Specification ofLetters Patent.
Patented July 14, 1908.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ZEALIA VAN RAALTE, a citizen ofthe United States, and a resident of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Imrovements in Tickets for Net Goods or eilings, of which the following is a description.
The object of my invention is to rovide a ticket for marking nets or veilings aving a large mesh, which will remain close to the goods so as not to be troublesome, and which will engage the threads and be adapted to be removed without injuring the goods inany way.
In the drawings forming part of this application, Figure 1 is a plan view of a vellmg with a ticket attached. Fig. 2 is a section on the line 2 2 of Fig. 1, and Fig. 3 is a plan view of a ticket before it is attached.
The ticket is adapted to be a plied to a net or veiling 1, having a large mes and without use of pins or any means which will in'ure the threads when the ticket is remove The ticket consists of a flat piece of aper 2, or other suitable material, which is ent into a loo 3, with some of the threads of the net inclh held thereby, and the freeends are secured together at 4', preferably by pasting. The ends of the paper are weakened, preferably by perforating, either before securing the ded in the loop, so that the loop will be ends together or afterwards, so that'the lines of weakening of each end will be together and so that the pastin will be beyond the points of weakening. in the drawings the strip is shown weakened at the points 5.
When the ticket is on the goods, as is shown in Fig. 2, it is only necessary to tear the same on the line of weakening when the ticket may be removed, withoutin any way affecting the net, the threads of which are very delicate.
Having described my invention, what I claim is:
The combination of a net fabric having an open mesh and means for marking the same, consisting of a strip of fabric doubled over upon itself so that the strip lies over and under the net, the bight of the loop thus formed assing through one of the meshes of the fabric and the end of the under portion of said strip also passing through a mesh of the fabric and extending upwardly, the ends of said stri coinciding and being fastened together above the fabric and both ends being provided with a weakened portion at the pointwhere the loop of said strip ends, substantially as described.
Signed this 1st day of December, 1906. Z. VAN RAALTE. Witnesses:
